Cyril Staley is a passionate entrepreneur, author, and creative visionary with a deep love for the game of basketball. Recognizing the need to make learning the sport more fun and engaging, he created the Heart & Soul to Ball Activity Book—a mix of adventure, education, and skill-building for young athletes. Beyond writing, Cyril is the founder of Da One Multimedia Network, where he works as a photographer, videographer, graphic designer, and custom design printer. He has filmed and created basketball highlights for kids, ensuring they not only develop on the court but also see their progress in action. His team has also helped document and showcase young athletes through videography. Cyril is also the creator of the Heart & Soul to Ball 3-on-3 Tournament, a competitive event featuring cash prizes for Unlimited teams. In 2025, he is expanding the tournament to include a youth basketball division, giving the next generation a platform to grow and compete. In addition to his creative work, Cyril leads Spreading Da Gospel, a ministry dedicated to preaching and teaching the truth of faith, guiding others to a deeper understanding of the Most High. My journey wasn’t easy, but it was shaped by resilience, hard work, and the love I had for the game of basketball. I remember a moment that changed everything for me. A coach took my jersey, and it hurt, but it ignited a fire within me. Instead of letting that defeat me, I made a choice to prove myself. I spent one whole summer at the park, from sunup to sundown, working relentlessly on my game. By the end of that summer, I had transformed myself into one of the best players in my neighborhood.
That experience taught me something beyond basketball—it taught me heart, soul, resilience, and strength. It’s not just about the game; it’s about the mindset and discipline that carry you through life’s toughest challenges.
Now, I want to pass that lesson on to the next generation. Books and basketball go hand in hand in achieving success. Through my work, I aim to inspire youth to understand that while basketball is important, education is the foundation that makes those dreams achievable. That’s why I incorporate both in my activities and books. In the pages, I give kids a space to write down their goals, helping them manifest their dreams into reality.
It takes heart and soul to become the best, and I want to teach the next generation that anything is possible when you put your mind and heart into it.
